In order to obtain higher quality cotton, Demak'Up™ follows the exclusive and patented manufacturing process that we have introduced into our factory in Hondouville, in Normandy, France.
It has been designed by experts so, inevitably, it is somewhat complicated. But we’re going to try to explain it to you nevertheless …
In order to create the cotton laps, out of which the pads are cut, Demak'Up™ has selected the finest quality cotton fibres. These fibres are deposited in the form of flakes on a support then moistened to form a compact and homogeneous lap.
Once the lap has been cleaned and bleached, the crucial hydro-entangling stage arrives. This technique interlaces the lap’s fibres with high-pressure jets of water. The hydrolysed cotton then becomes more resistant and, above all, guarantees that it won’t fluff. This cotton lap is then cut out in various formats, round or oval.
Result? The fineness of the selected fibres guarantees the extreme softness of the Demak'Up™ cotton, and the unique manufacturing process enables the impurities to be captured, and therefore ensures ultra-efficient make-up removal without fluffing.
… to the Cotton Plant’s Secrets.
During every stage of its growth, the cotton plant delivers genuine beauty treasures that have inspired the Demak'Up™ experts to create their Cotton Science.
First, the researchers extract an oil from the cotton seed that is particularly hydrating and nutritious for the skin.
Later, the cotton buds are delicately picked by hand in the Antalya region, in Turkey. Teeming with all of the virtues inherent in the plant’s tender age, they are true concentrates of life with antioxidant and regenerating powers. They can sometimes contain more active ingredients than the adult cotton plant itself.
It is not until the appearance of its flower, white to start with then turning violet in the course of time, that the cotton plant reveals its softening properties. Demak'Up™ exclusively harvests the still white flower in India, in order to derive maximum benefit from its softness and from the refreshing qualities of its water.
The cotton plant’s leaf, picked by hand in Turkey, also conceals beauty secrets. Indeed, thanks to its researchers, Demak'Up™ has been able to extract all its energising and revitalising power.
